Discussion question
Chapter 3 discussed Planning and Goal Setting. For this discussion, assume that you are a supervisor. (If you are or have been a supervisor, please feel free to share from personal experience.) You have specific goals and priorities for your team to accomplish in the upcoming quarter. Your employees are very busy and often pulled in multiple directions, so it is easy for them to lose sight of goals … even if they know what they are (and research shows that employees often do not know the goals management has for them.) What are some things you can do as a supervisor to get and keep your team focused on goals even though new emergencies are bound to pop up? Please supply a substantive (5 sentence) post and a reply to a classmate.
