- In what ways are these forms of abuse (or violence) alike? Please consider the risk factors, perpetrators, outcomes and the type of abuse.

- Is there evidence suggesting that we have more knowledge about child abuse than elder abuse? If so, why is that is the case? [Hint–briefly review the amount of content in your book devoted to each form of abuse].
- Demographers estimate that by 2050, the population of elders will be approximately 83 million, or double what it is currently. Do you think that this population change is likely to lead to more or stronger efforts to stop elder abuse, or are we more likely to see the same patterns continue?
